I’ve been talking about organization as a new year’s resolution for 2019. On our podcast, Cathi, a lover of all things organized, has been encouraging me to start with baby steps. Since it is already mid-January, I’d say I’ve been a sleeping baby so far. I do have a goal to get everything organized, but I will not freak myself out about it. Today, since my last group of house guests left, I have no excuse.
My first step is getting a work schedule organized. Believe it or not, I once was pretty organized. But as I started focusing more on my writing, I would neglect the computer and filing time for the rest of my life. Then in 2018, I took on a lot of new projects and responsibilities. I also moved to a new home. My organization systems were derailed, to say the least. So time to get back on track. Schedules have always been important to me but after the kids left for college and I had less to manage. I got lazy! Well I’m back to the juggling days and if I want to do all that I want to do (and I do) then I better get serious about my calendar!
Already I’ve made the above templates (copied a little bit from Cathi) for the blog and podcast … that’s how I realized that I needed to get this blog done. Anyway, baby steps … next I will do a weekly schedule. And for those of you who realize I’ve said this before, don’t judge! It’s a new year!
