The perfect pairing, inspired by a scene early in the book, is Freixenet Brut Cava and a ragu. Christie schooled us on Champagne versus Cava … think France versus Spain!  And Cathi discussed the finer points of Ragu versus Bolognese as described on the Alpine Bakery and Trattoria’s website.

Cathi’s preferred Ragu recipe comes from one of her favorite food bloggers and cookbook authors, Deb Perelman from Smitten Kitchen.
