In this week’s episode we discussed Janelle Brown’s Pretty Things and paired it with Jadot Pinor Noir Bourgogne.
Inspired by the book, we knew comforting Coq au Vin was the perfect accompaniment. We compared the merits of Ina Garten’s recipe (Cathi’s favorite of all time) versus the one found in the New York Times.
First of all, this book was so well written that it was such a pleasure to read. Janelle Brown has a way with words! We aren’t the only ones who think so. Nicole Kidman’s company is adapting it to film.
This book took on the subject of gaslighting which we could talk about all day. I mean, really! But we didn’t go on too long and had a fun conversation.
